Wind power generation, as the fastest developing renewable energy generation technology, has broad application prospects. However, wind energy is a randomly changing energy source, and changes in wind speed can cause fluctuations in the output power of wind turbines, which can have an impact on the power quality of the power grid.
At present, the fluctuation of active power in wind power often adopts the method of directly adjusting the operating state of wind turbines to smooth out their output power, but the power regulation ability of this method is limited; Reactive power fluctuations are usually regulated by parallel static reactive power compensation devices, but reactive power compensation devices cannot suppress active power fluctuations. By adding energy storage devices, reactive power can be adjusted, the voltage of the wind farm bus can be stabilized, and active power can be adjusted over a wide range. Research on wind power generation has shown that fluctuating power at 0.01Hz-1Hz has the greatest impact on the power quality of the grid, and suppressing wind power fluctuations in this frequency band has the greatest impact on the power quality of the grid. To suppress wind power fluctuations in this frequency band, short-term energy storage can be used to achieve the goal. Therefore, small capacity energy storage equipment that can achieve short-term energy storage has high application value for wind power generation.
